Ballet

Carrie Dibba was born in Helena, Montana where she started her ballet training at age three. Throughout her life, Carrie has trained with many professional dancers and teachers, including Cambell Midgley director of Queen City Ballet. At Queen City Ballet, Mrs Dibba played a part in nearly all the famous story ballets, where she performed many solo roles, including Cinderella, Snow Queen, Clara, Lilac Fairy and many more. She has also enjoyed performing in more contemporary performances, where she has done several other genres, including jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip hop.

Carrie has also had many opportunities to travel for dance. In her teenage years, she attended two BYU Summer Intensives, Youth America Grand Prix in Denver, Colorado, where is placed in the top twelve. She danced for Salt Lake Ballet Conservatory and toured to Vancouver, Canada. Mrs. Dibba guest performed in the Nutcracker as the Sugar Plum Fairy in Eagle Mt, and Payson, Utah in 2007. After joining the ballet program at UVU, she traveled to three different cities internationally to attend Regional Dance America, where she received several scholarships, as well as, an invitation to dance with Oklahoma City Ballet. Throughout her years at UVU, she danced for Repertory Ballet Ensemble from 2010-2014 where she was awarded performing scholarships for her four years on the company.

Mrs. Dibba has enjoyed teaching and choreographing dance for the past 9 years, as well as, assisting the director for Sleeping Beauty and Nutcracker at Lifehouse Performing Arts Academy. She has re-choreographed several scenes of the Nutcracker and choreographed ballet contemporary pieces for advanced dancers.
