Jaren Hopkin has been dancing for 10 years. He began dancing in an elementary ballroom program at the age of 11. Soon after that he joined the BYU Youth Ballroom program winning 4 National Formation Championships in both the Ballroom and Latin categories. He has taken many years of private lessons with the best coaches in the area, training many styles including Ballroom, Latin, Smooth, and Rhythm. He has competed at many events throughout the U.S.A. doing very well and winning his category at many of them. He has taken many courses on teaching theory and done extremely well on his professional exams. He has also taught both private lessons and group classes for the past few years. He is a current member of the BYU Ballroom Touring Company. He has always had a great passion for dance and with sharing that with others.
