Ms. Maxwell is the UDA Preschool Owner and the Artistic Directress of Utah Dance Artists. She majored in ballet at the University of Utah where she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in ballet with an emphasis in teaching and performing. Ms. Maxwell has taught ballet, jazz and tap throughout the Salt Lake Valley for the past 17 years and is a former faculty member of Ballet West Summer Intensive at the University of Utah and Ballet West Summer Conservatory in Deer Valley.

Ms. Maxwell trained under some of the great teachers of our time including founder and director of Ballet West, Willam F. Christensen. She received her first scholarship at age 13 to Brigham Young University's Summer Dance Intensive and became a student at the University of Utah at age 15 as a Ballet West Conservatory student. Ms. Maxwell's extensive training in ballet, jazz and tap has afforded her many opportunities beyond the classroom and stage. She has danced in videos, TV shows, TV commercials, televised fashion shows and college telecourses. One of Ms. Maxwell's greatest achievements was serving as Miss Utah 1994-1995, which allowed her to compete in the Miss America Pageant. As Miss Utah, she spoke to children at over 200 Utah schools, traveled to Japan twice as a goodwill ambassador for the state of Utah, and participated in motivational speaking engagements throughout Utah, Califormia, Idaho, Canada and Japan.

Brooke Maxwell has spent a lifetime building her dance reputation on a high standard of excellence. She holds her preschool to the same standard and reputation set forth by Utah Dance Artists. Brooke has been involved in laying the groundwork in every aspect of UDA’s Creative Arts Preschool.
