Cami Nielson

2 Year Old Class Teacher

Cami Nielson has taught children from toddlers to teens for many years in Salt Lake City, Payson, Herriman, and Riverton in various environments including preschool and dance in her home, elementary school substituting, and numerous genres of dance in the studio. As a teen she began her training in working with children while she was employed at Mother’s Helper Daycare in Salt Lake City. At that time she also worked as a creative dance teacher’s assistant for preschool-age children. She then coordinated and taught her own classes in creative dance for preschool to first grade age, as well as Hip hop classes for older children in her home. Cami received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Composite dance at Brigham Young University where she was awarded both dance and academic scholarships and was the Dance Valedictorian for her graduating class. She was a two year member and Dance Captain of the BYU Cougarettes. Also while at BYU, she took teacher training courses including creative movement and rhythm and dance for preschool and elementary age children. After graduating, Cami taught hip hop and aerobic dance (in Payson and Riverton) and also taught Joy School- type preschool in her home (in Payson and Riverton). She resides in Riverton where she has taught ballet and jazz at various studios and has worked as a substitute teacher for Providence Hall Elementary School in Herriman (K-6th). Cami is a mother of four children and loves to hike and trail run with her husband Mark, as well as dance and perform with Diamond Dance Company.
