Abby is currently living in Utah and going into her second season with Salt 2 Contemporary Dance Company. She has most recently performed works by Brandon Lee Alley, Mike Tyus, Sawyer Player, Keerati Jinakunqiphat, Gianna Burright, Amanda Colangelo, and Amy Gunter.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA and raised in Wichita, KS, she holds a BFA in Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance, with a minor in Arts Management. At Purchase, she had the opportunity to perform works by renowned choreographers such as Ja Malik, Amy Miller, Andrea Miller, and Madison Hicks. Her training spans a wide range of styles, including Ballet, Graham, Horton, Cunningham, Pointe, Gaga, Floorwork, and Partnering. Abby has also cultivated a passion for choreography, developing a deep connection to the creative process. Throughout her studies, Abby has had the privilege of learning from the distinguished faculty at Purchase, whose expertise has significantly influenced her growth as an artist.
During her junior year, Abby broadened her artistic horizons by spending a semester abroad at the London Contemporary Dance School. There, she expanded her skills in diverse dance styles, including contemporary, hip-hop, and site-specific choreography, while also engaging in design projects. This transformative experience played a pivotal role in her artistic development and opened new creative opportunities. In addition to her formal education, Abby has taken part in prestigious programs such as Moving Forward Dance, Move NYC’s SWEAT Intensive, the Orsolina Medhi Walerski Intensive, SALT Contemporary Dance Link Festival, and Dance Novella.
