About Raegan

Raegan

Hip Hop - Turns & Leaps

Raegan began dancing at the age of three and brings over 18 years of diverse training in classical ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, ballroom, and tap. For 12 of those years, she competed throughout Utah as a member of UDA’s Varsity Competitive Program. Her most memorable experiences include performing on Good Things Utah, training at New York City’s iconic Broadway Dance Center under world-renowned instructors and earning the highest duet score and first-place title at a national dance competition in her senior year of high school. In addition to her dance background, Raegan has received extensive training in voice, acting, and theater, with her favorite lead role being Nala in Disney’s The Lion King.

Raegan’s passion for teaching began at 13 when she started assisting in the classroom. After four years of mentorship under UDA’s expert staff, she began choreographing solos, teaching private lessons, and preparing dancers for auditions. At 19, Raegan decided to take a brief hiatus from dance to serve an LDS mission in Tucson, Arizona. Though health challenges brought her home early, Raegan returned to UDA 3 months later, but this time as a service missionary, to serve in Darby’s Dancers, a program dedicated to dancers with special needs. This experience deepened her love for teaching and her commitment to using dance as a vehicle for personal growth and empowerment.

For Raegan, teaching at UDA is more than a job—it’s a full-circle moment. Her mother, Brooke Maxwell, founded UDA in the basement of their West Jordan home two years before Raegan was born. Though the studio changed ownership before Raegan was old enough to join the staff, she feels honored and blessed to now be a part of the legacy her family began.
