Ballet - Turns & Leaps - Jazz

RyLee Altenburg (she/her) is originally from Washington State. Dancing from a young age all the way through her senior year of high school she was on her studio's competitive performance team as well as her high school's drill team. She won a variety of awards and was asked to travel to different states for national competitions. Additionally, after an injury she started teaching dance at the age of 15 and choreographing solos, duos/trios, and group numbers. Where she won awards for excellent choreography. After high school, RyLee traveled to Los Angeles, California where she attended AMDA and got her Bachelor's Degree in Dance Theatre. There, she trained under a variety of industry professionals which eventually lead to her working with those individuals.

After graduating, she signed with Stewart Talent Agency for commercial acting to continue challenging herself and her capabilities. After 7 years in LA she auditioned for Odyssey Dance Theatre, made the company, and moved to Utah. She is so grateful to have found UDA and has thoroughly enjoyed teaching these young dancers. She hopes that whenever a student walks into her room they know she is their #1 supporter and only wants the best for them. She will always be the loudest one cheering them on!
